About the Cozy Midnight Paws cross stitch pattern
A black cat sits beside an orange pumpkin beneath a spiderweb in this Halloween design. The cat features bright yellow eyes and a pink nose.
The design
At the top left, a dark spider hangs on a backstitched web. A black cat with pink inner ears and yellow eyes sits in the centre. The cat curls its tail next to an orange pumpkin. A grey shadow grounds the motifs. The piece is shown framed on cream Aida.
Stitching it
This beginner pattern uses full cross stitches and backstitch. The chart requires 14 DMC colours. The finished size fits a 4-inch or 5-inch hoop.
Finishing it
The completed project works displayed as a framed piece, a decorative throw pillow, or mounted in a painted embroidery hoop. It makes a suitable handmade gift for cat lovers and pet parents.
