Santa’s Moonlit Christmas

A Santa face shaped like a crescent moon features a red hat and a gold star for Christmas. The white beard forms the bottom curve of the moon.

The design

The profile shows a peach face with a blue eye and a round nose. The red hat features white crosses and three green holly leaves with red berries. A yellow star hangs from a thread attached to the tip of the hat. The piece is stitched on black fabric, shown here inside a brown frame with a green mat.

Stitching it

This beginner project uses full cross stitches, half stitches and backstitch. The pattern requires 20 DMC colours. Stitching takes about seven days. The finished dimensions fit an 8-inch hoop.

Finishing it

The final piece goes in a frame. It suits a Christmas gift.
