The Fireside Pillow

A snowflake and diamond grid stitched in grey, peach and rust on a square cushion. The motifs cover the fabric within a border.

The design

Grey stars with eight points sit between blocks of peach and rust crosses. A dark grey border frames the motifs. The pattern is shown stitched on cream fabric and sewn into a cushion with a grey backing.

Stitching it

The intermediate project uses full cross stitches to build the grid. The pattern relies on three thread colours. The fabric fits a 12-inch cushion pad when sewn on 14-count Aida.

Finishing it

The stitched piece becomes a cushion cover.
